got why people like that character so much.
i would love an old analogue roland synth over any moog any day. just warm and lush whereas the moog has this glassy shine to it this weird sound character i cannot really describe that keeps me of liking its tone.. anybody understand what i mean?

I would also love a roland synth, like the Jupiter 6/8 would not prefer it over a moog Voyager, but would not prefer a moog over a roland either, they are different things that apply better to certain sounds, but the main hype about the new moog synths, is that they are new and are closer to most people's budget, hence the excitement.
Look for used Roland synths, the prices are through the roof and that's before the issue of aging parts...

Peace.

Wow would can they put such a bad demo? Who the hell produced that? They could at least show some diferent sounds. And it's funny how they put wobbles in the demo (worst wobbles ever btw) just because dubstep is so trendy right now           Free album out now:

the demo is terrible..
the sweetwater vid is much better.
dunno, it sounds very moogy, has that analogue direct power and richness to the filter and osc sounds and all but i never actually got why people like that character so much.

dunno but to me the old roland like their modulars sound really good ,some of the best analog sound ,i like as much minimoogs ,not newer moogs but i wouldn t mind owning a voyager and a phatty as it sell new, no need repair and all the troubles (hopefully )
if roland were about to reissue some of their old synths i would go directly to the bank asking for credits haha it would be big hit, wtf is going on in their mind? bring us a 909 on stereoid, a new 101 with usb for 400 euros !

f@cks sake!...well...how do I explain to my missus how important phase sync is for basslines in order for her not to freak out if I get another synth after I get the Slim Phatty?

do what every other woman in the world does ....buy it and when she asks when you got it just say that youve had it for ages

have you had a shot at putting the xox through the phatty and cranking up the overload

blows me away....honestly!

I don't have the phatty yet, and my woman knows my synths. when I make music she comes and chills in my studio so we can share a smoke.
should have kept her out of it.

I'll defo put the x0x through the Phatty...end of February it will be mine...make I could tell her that they had the Minitaur for free when I will buy the Phatty...she's not easily fooled tho...I think I will take the sh-101, the mc-909, the Roland SPD-S and the x0x down to storage for a few days, so she can loose track of how many boxes I have in the studio and then when I get the new boxes, bring them all out again so she won't remember which one I had and which is new.

Good idea this...cheers!

Peace out.
