Hi guys! I produce goa psytrance using only hardware set-up as sound generators. I have a Virus TI, Prophet 08, Future Retro XS and a Moog LP.
Even though the oscilators waves of the Moog are really fat, it kind of lacks the bottom end, the sub.
Is it worthy keeping it or better exchange it/sell it for a Juno synth or something else?
I am mainly looking to organic sounds like Astral Projection and such.
Thanks a lot!

You're kidding right?
If I had the luck to have a moog, I would never sell it... never never never...
And why exactly is that??

hey man what about the xs? i was thinking to get one but i have afraid it sound to modern almost like a va synth?i m not sure to connect with the sound ,it s good for psytrance leads ?fx ? bassline?
check jupiter,juno,sh101 ,ms 20 maybe or have you see the new oberheim SEM? dunno about astral, their old stuff sound like they were using roland synths to me.
i have heard the lp and it seems great for electro, must be good for psy too but maybe a bit limited ? dunno have no experience with it just wondering why you want to change

FR Xs has ultra stable vcos, a nice filter ,fast n snappy envelope section + its a semi modular. Is there is any analog monosynth id buy? it would be this and i did with the intension to expand on the modular capabilities , hence iv introduced a Doepfer rack to suplement it and it continously amazes me. But on its own it can make good bases , acidlines, drones fx and leads and if u can get innovative then its endless. On recent convo with Jared @Future Retro ( super dude btw) he informed me that he is soon gonna introduce Xssories which is supposed to be the some expansion modules to incorporate with the semi mod architecture of the Xs
G luck!
Ohh and I can make psy sounds even from a cheap casio keyboard =)

Firstly, what speakers aer you using? Cause the Little Phatty is no "little" when it comes to phatness.
Secondly, AP had no phat bass in their tunes...

As far as i know Astral Projection used bollocks load of gear from modulars to rolands to waldorfs and heavy analog sequencing at that time, eventide fx..... They are one of the very few artist whom you just cant copy. just make your own experiments and down the line you will suddenly stumble upon a sound that actually may sound quite close to them
