Friend of mine has the Little phatty, but he is a house producer. All i can say its very phat, but for fast basslines you would have to sample it.

Is it a fairly versatile synth Hidra? Good for effects and twisted sounds?
I plan to use it for night time music (sharp leads, lots of evolving liquid sounds, hard edged sounds etc) do you think it would be a worthy instrument?
Does seem very very cool

it is very good for phat bass and leads thats for sure...
you can also make pretty nice effects out of it once you get to play with the internal routing and advanced option (noise generator/sample&hold/lfo/arp)
Its definately a very good synth, for what it does...
but personally, make sure this is what you want, because this thing is very specific in what it does, but it does it very well!
for the amount of money you would spend on it, you might be able to get something that is more versatile...
but if you are willing to spend about 1k$ for a monophonic bass and lead machine, then go for it, you wont regret it!
check out some video on youtube, it will give you a good idea of its capabilities and feature, or go to a music store and play with it

Thanks mate, that is my only concern really, is it specifically what I need for my needs. I have seen some youtube stuff on it and it defiitely has a phat presence in sound, I guess i just have to check it out myself at the store.
Thanks for your answers everyone

Does anybody have / know good demos of the LP that do NOT sound like this oldschool emerson lake & palmer etc. stuff? I would like to hear some "modern" trancey arpeggios, leads etc.
