Global Blue was born in the year 2001, and we have been in charge of the organization of events as important as Earth Dance 2006; today our project is “LET'S SAVE THE EARTH” (Salvemos la tierra).

"Let's save the Earth" is born with the principal concept of spreading the actual feeling existing in the world ambience and about how we are harming our planet.

Our principal subject, and topic to treat, is the global warming. Across this concept we pretend to give entertainment and information of the serious problems that concern us as world society.

At this moment global warming is destroying the planet; the poles are melting, the death of animals that codepend on life forms that are slowly disappearing, the over contamination that actually has been encouraged by ourselves as human beings, plus some other problems that concern us in the ecological subject; this what we want to emphatize, to be able of a media awakening about this problem.

For this we have decided to realize "SALVEMOS LA TIERRA". A festival primary focused on creating consciousness in the young people.

For this reason we believe that the best and most powerful idea, that also will allow us to achieve in the best way our goals, is promoting a culture, artistical and musical production, where plus the fact of entertaining people; also allow us to inform and give conciousness to the peopleand media, in order of helping them to understand the critical state of our planet; as well as also manage to input basic hardware to the people that allow them to reach port in the diverse forms that actually exist in order of helping the ecosystem.

We will also enclose to this project educational, didactic and playful lectures dictated by an experimental group of pupils and teachers of the University of Chile, who devote themselves directly to the study of the ecosystem and it’s principal weaknesses about the problem itself. They will contribute also with audiovisual, material and printed information.

On the other hand, In the artistic part we have decided to include music, dance and cultural samples; basically because we know this way we will be able to attract a wider audience, also relying on assistance and approval of family groups.

The place we have selected for the above mentioned event is the Park Jamboree Picarquín, located in San Francisco de Mostazal, Chile. We have chosen this location basically because this place has been already used for massive meetings of all purpose (scouts jamboree, earthdance festival); this place also features an ecological and natural beauty that enhances the development of this project. Since for us it is very important to realize this event in a place that is supported by a beautiful landscape that will enhance the meaning of our festival.

The achievement of the event has been programmed for March 21st, 22nd and 23rd, 2008.

The visit of Mr.Al Gore to Chile, past May, poped up in the Chilean mass a major concern of the environmental topic. Basic reason for believing and willing to promote the enviromental care that we all as human being must have as an attitude sowe are able of supporting our planet and it’s ecologic system.
