OK, all systems go! Really looking forward to this one, the first of our outdoor parties this year. the weather report is improving, we've hired the sound system, van and generator, we've got some first rate guest DJs... Can't wait. |

Colin, if you invite Sian Lloyd down, an area of high pressure will move in from the West & clear the skies for sure..... And you might even be lucky enough to get a smattering of sunshine with scattered showers. Or perhaps a high pollen count  Have a good one - I'm sure it will be lots of fun |

Well that was fun! Thanks to everyone who had faith in our arrangement with Higher Powers concerning the weather; the rain held off marvellously for most of the night so our acre-and-a-half of tarp was never actually needed. Props to the lads for getting it up there though, it was harder than it looked. Cheers also to John Phantasm and Chrisbo for making their way down from London to play; we finally found a date for a party when John wasn't busy! Gaffer and Graham set us up good and proper for their fireworks with a wicked couple of sets; it was a real shame the weather caused us to do the party under the trees as the show was obscured a little but it's always a magical interlude. Thanks a million guys. Great tunes all round from all the DJs in fact, and although it was a real shame I couldn't stay to the end as I had to go home and get some kip before my band gig in Rotherham the following night, I'm farily confident that Ryo, Rama and Stevie did their usual sterling work keeping the dancefloor full and grooving all night. Apparently the police turned up at 11ish during Steve's set to check it out, stayed for a quick dance and left smiling and humming a bassline (ok, I'm joking about the last bit), leaving the party to continue till about 1 pm. Now all we have to do is glue the hire van back together and clean the sound system before we return them...
Bloody marvellous.
