ok i've got the money and after the soundcard i'm gonna buy monitors..its just the basic equipment (i'm not making a super WoW studio) and for a budget of around 450 euro for monitors i've came around those models :
KRK - RP6 Rokit G2 €415.00 pair
TASCAM VL-A8 435,00EUR pair
M - Audio - BX8a Deluxe €335.00 pair
MACKIE MR8 200 euro unit
its not possible to hear them all and maybe i'll buy from the internet because prices in greece are like 100 euros up in case of mackies for example!!
i'm producing psy chillout & some darkpsy...
need opinions or experiences guys..its a great help for anyone ...
thnx in advise!

I think I am going to get the Event TR6 studio monitors next...
Freq responce matches that of the 8's in most monitors.
I have owned the Event 20/20's before and loved them so I am going to assume that the quality is the same or better. I know a ton of people dont like the Event monitors but I love the sound.

Have you measured the freq response or are you basing it on what the manufacturer claims. Mostly claimed specs are never accurate so go listen only then decide.

you should also consider your room acoustics while deciding which monitors to pick up.
small rooms are not really suitable for super powerful monitors!
also stay clear of M-Audio - my personal opinion, but some may beg to differ!!
Good Luck!!

+1 i would say stay away from m-audio, behringer all these commercial companies claim they make good monitors but it isnt so.
Your choices should be
1. Audioengine which makes very good budget friendly speakers but is a niche market audiophile type product
2. Mackie Ive heard the hr series is really good whereas the mr is not that good
3. Dynaudio Expensive but worth it
4. Adam Very neutral speakers with ribbon tweeters, expensive and worth it
5. Alesis worth checking out read good things
6. samson rubicon ive read good things worth checking out

most votes are for KRK as i see so i'm closer to them ...
sure i'll stay away from m-audio many people told me that and as i was hearing different monitors in the sound shop there was differences in each but i think its very different in the room...then i saw the 8'' KRK's and other brands 8''....OMFG their huge...i think their tooooo big for 15 m2 room...
so i'm closer to KRK's 6'' now...
some people say their better for rock music (what TF???why>?) but others say their ok for trance and electronic... |
