Hello, i want to get some speakers and deciding between dynaudio 52, b/w (603/cm2), alesis m1's and mackies.
If i want to use them more for listening than production (so not necessarily nearfield only) which ones would you recommend? I heard the B/W and those were awesome but i still have to check out the other monitors.
Any advice? Also any nice amps u can recommend? |

so its hi-fi vs a flat sound. but isnt a flat sound the nice sound? Accurate reproduction of how the song was made? From what i understand of what u said the normal speakers sound nicer because the sound stands out more?? does that mean they are designed for specific kinda sound individually? (eg: better mids or nice highs etc etc)
I heard the alesis and they sounded Awesome too :S im confused... |

To make music, monitors will work much better that normal speakers, they have what is called flat base frequency and so you can listen to all the mix with much greater detail than with normal speakers. Normal speakers are made to listen to music, no to produce it, and sometimes they don't give a real definition of the sound.
The Berhinger Truth speakers or the Alesis Active MK2 are a good choice for budged monitoring, but if you are willing to spend some money take a look at the Mackie and the Genelec range!
WOAH!
Peace and love for all |
