i´ve just bought the M_Audio Bx8 monitors and i´m really happy with them, but i guess they r very similar to the ones you have so you might not get so much improvement.
if you r buying your second pair of monitors i advise you on Mackie HR824 monitors - superior sound quality

Mackie is good but i think you can find better deals for the price,

and if you like to invest in a good monitor so try genelec or dynaudio- sweet monitors,

anyone heard rolands ( ds-90 or so ) digital reference monitors ? -are there any other drm's on the market ?

i won t buy them...i m just interested if it s a "big difference".

roland monitors are shitty medirium.

dont know about other drm but that one is not the best i heard.

roland simply not so great on monitors

I don't think the roland is shit at all, pixel use them and golan(sub6) too, i heard it too and they're sound very good and clean, even it's 6.1/2" the bass is good but it will start crunch when you'll get too low which can be sometimes good alert to avoid too much bass in the mix.          Space is the place
