I was in Klei Zemer {an Israely music accessoris shop} some days ago and the salesman told me that Behringer is crap made in China and he said that Mackies are the best monitors in world. Well i checked later Event and KRK monitors and liked them more.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

HA HA HA !
It's because "Klei Zemer" don't sell Behringers .
They sell mackies
My advice :
NEVER LISTEN TO THE SALES MAN !

Choose life ,
choose a job ,
choose a career ,
choose a family ,
choose a fucking big television ,
choose washing machines,cars,compact disk players
and electrical tin openers.
Choose good health,low cholesterol ,
and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest
mortgage repayments. Choose a
starter home. Choose your friends.
Choose Choose Choose , etc . . .
Choose your future .

Yo know what i'm sayn' . . .

EZ ,

Peace.

For now i like to work with my Behringers ,
but in the future i like to upgrade to Genelec 1031's
with Genelec SUB-Unit , and auratone C5 cubes for
some specific mastering needs .
I just can't wait for "the future"

EZ ,

Peace.

yes don't listen to a salesman, half the time
it is just a studing student wanting to be a musician who may have just as less knowledge as you and will only tell you a product is best cause they are getting comission for selling that product...
eg:
i went to buy a pair of headphones, salesman kept telling me to buy fostex and kept annoying me while i wanted to listen to two tracks from logic bomb in all of their headphones...
i eventually went for sennheiser as they suited me best and liked the sound a bit better to my ear (whether right or wrong..)
then he kept saying look all the pros use fostex and there made of metal not cheap plastic like sennh. and that if the cord gets wrecked in the fostex you can unplug them and get new ones....and continued to say sennheiser is crap...
well one i knew the sennheisers where made of kevlar ? and when i got home the cord in the sennheisers where interchangable...
point being - salesman don't know all of their products...like in this case...
i find our scene/culture has the best resources and that's these forums and the net as there is so much info for you to check out and can have your mind set b4 you even enter the shop...
do plenty of reading on philip's posts and you will know what ya want and won't feel so pressusred when the salesman tells ya other wise...
though on the other scale there are great salesman out there that will listen to ya and help you towards what may be best for you..

Mackie is top of the range products.
Behringer it is just a cheap alternative.
Never heard the mackie monitors but when my friends upgraded from a yamaha 01R mixer (which we thought sounded great) to a analogue mackie console the sound got even better.
Mackie is Quality with a capital Q.
Anyway I think I am going off topic here, and I started this thread in order to get opinions from people about monitors, on how they sound and which is the ideal for psy trance.
but as 5Meo-Geo correctly stated above the best judge should be the ears of a potential customer.

I talk about monitors i was working with ONLY .
I don't know what "made in china" ,and i agree
with 5Meo-Geo that's most behringer products
really sucks , but some of them really good and
cheap .
btw , very important point is : the room were u
listen to new monitors , because every room has
unique accoustic characteristics and same pair of
monitors can sound very different in different
rooms.
Yo , gkalpakas ,
there is no ideal monitors for "psy-trance" ,
trust me .
It's like Jazz , Rock , or ClubTrance .
House and Trance = Jungle and drum&bass .
good monitors good for everything .
(and good pair of ears too)

EZ ,

Peace.
