Hey all. Am looking at getting a pair of Tapo S8's but am wondering if the size might be too much for my room. It's about 4m x 5m. Am i better to go with these or some better quality 5 inch monitors?????? Any advice or suggestions are welcome.
thanks!! |

Sorry but why would you go for 5' instead of 8' if my room seems pretty big. Surley you get better bass definition with 8' speakers.
Any recomended monitors under 300 pounds |

If you have too big speakers there will be too much bass, thats the most annoying problem you can have imo....
too much bass feels good but will ruin your mix...
and as tsabeat said, you'll need room accoustic treatment even if its just furniture like sofas or books to fill the room...im repeating him but its really important...great monitor with bad accoustics in the room won't get you anywhere...the sound in your room should be as dry as possible....just clap your hands...if you listen the reverb its time for changes...
smaller monitors might be the safest choice...
