hehe wish Simon aught me at school... anywho I'd say most artits and dj;s probably work average jobs to make money for living and muic making is for fun/hobby... I serously doubt you make a helluva lot of money in the scene, it is more for the love of the music and for travel  |

i guess one has to have a regular job unless you r really :loaded: . love fr the music will keep you going but how will you sustain urself if ur records rnt selling and thats whr management comes in

I deliver newpapers at 4.30 am everyday, but sunday.
It is a nice job, walking around 2 hours every morning, seeing sun raising in spring and summer and walking at night in fall and winter.
Good job for some time

traveller, I am not after you or something, please don't take offence but I feel to comment on your post again.
You know, there are even guys that don't work at all and drive a TT Coupe, they are called "rich kids".
In the beginning of the 90th it was very expensive to buy equipment to produce trance music and quite a few of the early producers are comeing from a wealthy background, they didn't need to worry where they were getting money from.

I have been playing since 5 years ago, releasing some tracks, and now working on my solo project,in my case, yes im specialized on international marketing.
Just finished my career, saving some money for a pro studio

And to get back on topic i know most of producers are into computer related jobs or working in music stores or even teaching music technology in schools.
