money is just an abstraction of power.
we are hard wired to fight for power, if we werent we probly would have been wiped out hundreds of thousands of years ago.
alot of things are abstractions of this, who wouldnt want to be simon posford at a party?
why? because hes the most powerfull person there. |

its called a carbon footprint .. more applicable to john travolta and the likes who take off with their family of 4 on a boeing jet travelling the world rather than take a normal flight .. so much jet fuel `wasted` by only a handful of ppl ..thats the logic. not some dude who can buy a fancy expensive jacket on a whim ..

@Detox, you're correct that majority of the worlds population was perished when dinosaurs extincted, in fact it has happened at least once before that as well and even on larger scale, but it was never a result of their own actions. Now its a completely different thing going on, the possible destruction is happening because of our own actions. And i guess you're also correct when you say that the nature will strike back. It will mean that humanrace will take some major blows and probably will be on the brink of extinction. This will be most severely felt in developing world, whereas most responsibility lies on the shoulders of developed world.
@slyman604, i thought that in psychedelic trance we always were trying get rid of that power attitude, but i'm glad you brought your idea to the light since it just shows another way how money corrupts people.
@mk47, I'm sorry to say, but you're completely wrong. Ecological and carbon footprints are not the same thing and can be measured for any wanted unit.
Carbon footprint is another measurement tool and used to calculate certain units' relative carbon emissions. And you're wrong if you think that its applicable only to millionaires, its applicable just as well to you or me or any Jonh Doe around.

Totally agree. I don't think money is the issue here. Maybe greed. You can't survive without money. I mean, what you gonna depend on? Human kindness? Yeah, right, wake up. For every one human being willing to share their wealth and good fortune, there are a thousand not wanting to share, but instead wanting more. People need money, man, for the most trivial things.. (food and clothing for example). That's just the way the world is.
