howdy,
just after some ideas off everyone in this wonderful community, on their techniques of modulating. what are some interesting ways to group source and destination? i have noticed with many synths combinations are almost endless, which are really necessary and which are even used? just trying to widen my perception of what modulating can actually do if applied correctly. Also on the same line what are some interesting ways of routing lfo's. please share your thoughts and ideas they would be very helpful.
cheers

LFO -> Pitch
LFO -> Filter Cutoff
these are the basic. now you can use your imagination to combine this like using 2 LFO's on a filter cutoff in opposite directions. you can also use an LFO to control another LFO just try it as much as you can |

and more is not always more, sometimes little amounts of modulation can change a synth sound to psychedelic madness. on the other side more can be more if it sounds good. so no rulez and fast recipes here.
play to get a feeling for modulation

over drive the lfos to hell until they make notes previously not in the original melody, and unlike anything you've heard before!...not that i remember how i did it or how it was routed..do you have a nord? theres some great options for that on it... |
