You save 10% . The other nice thing is that when you expand to a bigger case the foundation will make a great control skiff.

I'm wondering what stores are going to stock it over here. The US stores are already taking preorders.

My guess would be Schneiders for sure. They tend to place bigger orders with the manufacturer that I involved with so they seem to have more buying power.

I would love one of those little Monorocket cases. They are nice and small with enough room to bring out the essentials to a gig.

***Disclaimer***
Yes, I just mentioned that I do work with a Eurorack manufacturer. Just to be straight forward with this, I'm not here to sell modules or any of that. I've been a member on this forum since 2002 but under different aliases:

I recently just got back into psytrance after a little time away from music and production while focusing on other things. Mostly just happy this scene is still alive and kicking. I'm really looking forward to getting back out and into the scene again.          Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

i have big lust coming back for the pittsburgh fondation ! what do you think guys? do you think it s nice set up to start a eurorack ?
i havent calculated the cost of buying the modules alone vs the fondation yet , if their is a good price reduction buy buying the fondation it could be great choice to me..i really like the sound of their modules from the sample i heard .
1600/1700 dollars sound like a bargain to me but i have afraid it cost a lot more in europe..

Seems as though none of the Pitt dealers in Europe have the Foundation listed yet. Depending on where you are located there are three distributors available. Post Modular, Escape From Noise, and Schneidersladen. Get in contact with one of them to see which one will be stocking the Foundation. I would assume they will all have it at one point and the price will most likely be the same for each dealer.

As far as the Foundation vs. buying individual modules, the Foundation looks to be the cheaper option. From what I calculated the system is around $1400 for the modules that are currently available for purchase. The filter, ADSRs, and LFO2 don't seem to be listed on any of the distributor sites but I would expect them to be at least another $500 to $600+ added onto that $1400.

thanks pre order price is around 1550 dollars if i m right that look like a great deal

$1550 would be a really decent price for that system.          Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

waiting for Schneiders to awser just out of curiosity i mailed them for info on pre order deals . my guess it will be at least 20/30 % more expensive with vat and store vs buying directly from PM (and pray for no taxes) if possible

If you consider how much Moog gear costs in the US and how much it costs here (EU) after taxes, you are looking into 1600€ at least.
Which is almost the cost of a Doepfer MIDI basic system.

I spoke to post modular in UK and PM Foundation would be a special Order Item. So looks like anyone trying to get one over here would basically lose the 10% discount and pay slightly more.

The doepfer stuff is probably awesome but it just doesn't do it for me. Probably get a few items from them when I start to build, but to look at that grey wall of knobs just wouldnt inspire me to create some mind bending colourful psy sounds.

Haha, honestly stay away from this stuff. It's really bad for the wallet.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

The Pittsburg modules are also grey/silver.
Personally its my favorite color and I find it very inspiring, but tastes and all that.
Throw a purple light on them

Peace.

But the Pittsburgh modules have shiny big knobs!
So want to fall in love with the doepfer system because it's easily available, but the other modules are playing hard to get, much more interesting.
