I dont know...
All I learned from this forum (and it was a lot),
I learned through reading what other people asked and from answers to those questions.
So here we have a whole database of different questions and answers,
and they are very useful to someone doing the production.
If all those answers were given through chat, I wouldn't be able to search them,
but I would have to ask the question every time.
So, I'm not in favor of chat, ask the question publicly here on the forum,
and let the answer be available to everyone.

Yup Chat would be a great idea and it may actually help KILL the constant repetitiveness of the questions being asked here which, in my opinion, is making this forum more than a little tedious.
just my 2 cents.

im just building a new website and consider to include a flashchat wich is open all the time..
i think about this one..

dont know if there is an option of direct fileupload or wich module i should consider to buy for that..
