Looking to get one of these acid machines for some fun outside the modules & the softwAre. The link below interests me & was wondering of there are any yays or nays? Opinions?

I have heard mixed reviews from Atomic Mods x0xs.
The unmodified part of the Atomic Mods x0x does not sound nearly as good (close) to a real TB as the "classic" x0xb0x.
If its acid you want, go with a classic x0xb0x from someone who has a reputation for his builds and sound quality, then go for a modded version. That is what I would do anyway...opinions differ.

Yup, mine was a custom job by Andy Pledger
With rare all the rare parts and a better PCB than the Modes Machines one.
Speaking about the rare parts, mine does not have the original BA662A VCA chip, but instead it has the high gain BA6110A VCA, which apparently does make a slight difference in the sound.

Acidlab M303 is the Bombass (discontinued unfortunately) in modular format.
Not very convincing TB sound, but its squelchy and has FM. Way beyond what the TB does.

Yeah a mate of mine has the Bombass & it's lovely but different in many ways. From a performance perspective that Acidlabs set up with the bombass & drums would be great fun to do live funny acid to thumping acid techno!'
