To me it seem those who constantly want the "good" old times back are those who live in the past and do not look ahead.

wihtout any evolution i would have stoped listening to it long ago i think...( i wish i had a time mashcine and go in goa in 92 but evolution is needed we get tired even of the best thing after some time when always the same )

a few years ago it was electro, right now we have a renewal of the detroit techno sound, in the next 5 years its going to be new acid, so i guess that a new form of goa trance is going to get big again in 10/15 years...

I am one of them stuck up, jaded, used to be better types.
I still listen to the same stuff I use to listen a dozen+ years ago when psytrance was at its peak.

today's quality music gets big 'cause of the whole society listening to it and calling it the bomb thing and then wat happens? when society moves to another genre, that quality music is left with nothing but leftovers. which in turn causes the genre to be in its low years afterwards. dunno if i'm making myself clear though

yeah ,About new psytrance still don't know what that have to be ? I think music is a feeling and a composer can do what he wants ,its a freedom what you got , sometimes we don't stand open for new ideas and thats sad !! there are so many ways to make psytrance and i think you have to think out of the box and yeah if you do you can come on nice new ideas !!! my inspiration goes to the old good days of psy ! but welcome new ideas !! thats what i calling the art of psytrance Namaste

what suck more and more is the parties, now it s too comercial, it have maybe been always the case but i dont see anymore hiden parties there, undeground spirit , it s all under control of laws more or less now, mean it s dead and guys think too much to money too.
i was looking a old video from 95 or 96 where raja ram say we are totally out of control, when we want to make a party we make one.. its that spirit is lost or it s not more possible cause of the police .
some good today full on in a great party i will probably enjoy as much as before.

^^ I think in almost all countries the authorities are more repressive now than 15 years ago. So is far riskier to make parties.

but i m sure there is some place where it s better and feel more like in the old days with good outdoors.
you want good party here , it s not anymore the car you need but plane tickets .
a set of tristan somewhere on a beach or in the forest i would probably enjoy a lot .. but first party organizer who book good line up and make party for the love of partying and psytrance ,not for commercial aspect. i like all the style of psytrance, as long as it s not crazy tempo, but if the sound and party get worst it s not the artists to blame but the guys who book them and organize these party

well i can take my country for example, the authorities here are actually less reluctant to approve big parties, but those are the commercial over 3-7k people parties, nothing underground about them and i honestly dont like them for the reasons mentioned above, but if its the occasional holiday or purim (kinda jewish halloween) then i might go to one. on the other hand, there are PLENTY of smaller and even underground parties like there used to be, also alot of after parties which also have a great vibe - israel is a pretty good place to be for trance loving people as the variety here is huge! almost each weekend/holiday in the past 6 months has seen 4 parties for the least, from big commercial huge lineup ones, to small gatherings and after parties from any genre you'd think of (well maybe with the exception of suomi and dark parties, those have kinda died out here and there are only a few every year).
the downside of this is that there are more and more commercial parties cuz people see they can make a pretty nice income from them, but all in all i think the situation here is pretty good hell i havent had a trance free weekend in the past 2 months
