I already have quite powerful desktop machine and that will continue to be my main machine for music making. I'm buying a laptop to play live and to make music in train cause I travel a lot and get many ideas on the road. And also is there a better way to spend time than music making?

The reason I'm going for PC machine is simple: I'm using a PC at home so the compatibility between those two is much better.
If I'd had 4000$ I'd definately go for Mac but as long as I don't, I rather make and play music with PCs than not make and play music at all
And IMO PC isn't that bad choice. I haven't had bigger problems with PCs so I'm not too eager to change to Mac.
