Shit,I wanted to ask about that.

I got the movie (also the book,I think its roughly the same),he talks about them balls of colors and whatnot as visual framework,is this Dave Gibson guy legit?           From all the things I lost,that sandwitch cost me most :)

I think so, but the information is very 80s and aimed at total beginners. It gave me a good idea what mixing is about, but knowing where to cut what sound and how much etc. comes more from experience/experimenting.

Yes, the ball colors and placement is cool to actually "see" where things should be.

But beware!! If you hate the song "She blinded me with science" by Thomas Dolby DO NOT watch the art of mixing lol ... Personally, I learned to love it though

That mixing tutorial is awesomeness. I laughed my ass off and learned a good bit too.

I recently purchased Reamix - breaking the barriers with Reaper and I'm really happy with it. TONS of practical mixing tutorials, and a good bit of theory and whatnot that's not reaper specific. Very highly suggested.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
