Hi
Anyone knows any good mixing program where you can mix tracks (.wav, .mp3 etc) and also record this? And in case you wonder, I dont want to DJ with this, only do it for myself.
Plz answer if you know any
Thx

There's a couple of good programs out there that can be used to do that. The most famous is Traktor, it has every feature you can imagine, but I've never liked its autosync feature.

I've used PCDJ Red a lot, but finding a soundcard with which it works well is hell, and most secondary functions are buggy. The players themselves work flawlessly if you get the right soundcard and accept the minimal set of features (equivalent to a Denon DN2000F). The BPM counter is very precise but not realtime. I've made 9 hours long gigs with this program without problems.

I don't really DJ anymore but am working with other people on a new, very interesting program. It's free, open source, works on Windows, Linux, and Mac.... It's called Mixxx (http://mixxx.sourceforge.net)... Try it out !

In any case I really recommend getting an external, regular mixer as moving faders and EQs with the mouse sucks big time in my opinion !           Beru

you want to dj (live) or just mix tracks and record mixed album?

because if its second choice, some sequencer like cubase or logic might be best thing to do it...

Thanks for your answers!

Now I wonder which of these is the easiest? I don't need advanced features, only basic mixing stuff.           Ut ameris, amabilis esto.
