I usually work with reason as a mixer and when i export a song/loop as a wav file it comes out with really low volume. my master vol` on the mixer is as high as i can get it without clipping.
so then i try 2 boost the vol` in soundforge and still its not enough! eventually i end up clipping the peaks!!  What 2 do?
Boom!

firs check the vol. in the (synth, sampler, drum mashin,etc...etc...) in the reason, not on mixer , check on the devises them self. if this is not help you can do Normalize in sound forge, it will boost the vol. to the maximum without cliping.

go to soundforge with the samples & normalize it.
that's the maximum volume your computer will generate without clipping.
if it still is too low it's either your connnections are not good or you need new ears:)

do like this man
first try to get the best sound in solo for each channel... make it goes to the end of the yellow lead in the mixer and the main out too ,never let any channel hits the red only for a few milisec thought...
take the red drum kick and put in mono in two DIFERENT channels and both centered u ll get a very loud kick drum ,and make this with another sounds u think is too low ..NEVER PUT KICK OR BASS TOO LOUDER(SOMETIMES even lower) because if the kick is too loud when u normalize it u ll get terrible quality let all channel at the same volume of the kick and sometimes when u duplicate the kick make it lower the others or just take off a little  bass and treble of one of the channels the kick is ...
now export it to wav file and go to sound forge...
make a plug in chain there put in th chain
eq - compression - limiter - DITHER
U LL GET A FKN HIGH VOLUME AT LEAST 4/5 OF HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTIONS
PS - IF SOME CHANNEL OVELOAD DONT TAKE THE VOLUME DOWN JUST FIX IN THE EQ AND AWAYS IN THE END OF THE YELLOW THING
i toke 1 year to find out this man so i realy hope this tip i aint got b4 gets to u because u ll win a LOT OF TIME ,THE SAME I LOST ;))
AND WOOOOOOW WAS REALY WEIRD TO SAY ALL THIS IN ENGLISH DID U GOT WHAT I SAID ??ANY DOUBTS PVT ME
......
IF this dont help i ll sell u my ears 10000 u$ each

go to soundforge and normalize it
look at the "height" of the wave
now if it's not enough go to vol and up it by 200% or more(how much you need)

ok then go to mixer/sequencer and load the sample
if it's the good volume without touching the master or the channel mixer it's good
if it's not try putting good eq effect on it and play the with the volume and the frequences
good luck

Ears are sold by the pound down at "Music shop". Not in an affordable price, though.
