iz there any harm with mixing lead sounds makin some mono sum stereo, with lil wideners , and reverbs etc just give the track a sort of contrast.

ive got one lead that iz panned slightly to the left in mono to group send to 'widend reverb' iz this ok?

doin this kinda keeps the mix clear and clean, with a contrast of mono and stereo sounds, does anyone else do this or just work with stereo sounds?

If I am wrong someone correct me. It is fine to mix mono and stereo. Most of your drums will want to be mono though as mono takes up less room in your mix than stereo files.

Edit: You can take two mono sources and clone them and then pan one slightly left the other slightly right as you mentioned above. It works out fine and I use this for some specific things.          http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

yes. i use reverb on mono instruments. i am quite sure it still leaves room in your mix as well because the original file plays L channel only but that is interpretted as mono and is played through both L and R. In other words theres not two separate wave shapes for L and R. So I think it is beneficial to stay mono where you can. just make sure your reverb is on a send channel if you are going for a natural sound.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)
