I know that mxing your track from audio is done to reduce the latency, but also sound is lost everytime you proccess it, so I am not sure what I should.Should I export all my midi, without the effects, to audio and the put the effects and do the mixing or just keep as many midi as possible??
I know it all depends on the sound card,so in this case I uses a fireface 400 or a motu 828mkII.
Any advice will be helpful...
Thanks

I would say it depends on what you will do with the tracks...put for just mixing..i would set up all my midis in exactly that way i want to use them...with pitchshift automation or whatever...then i would definatly record them to audio..to get all the benefits audio processing has..like less cpu usage..reverse stuff and things you cannot do with midi..so thats my way of processing..always keep the midis in a seperate folder in the arrange and use audio for mixing and fx..i don`t know wich sequencer you use..but my one cubase 4 has latency compensation..so there are no problems with latency at all..

if you compare recorded audio and your similar midi track you would`t recognize any issues to my ears...

as long as you don`t compress the files or change the bit depth..
hope that helps a bit..

Care to elaborate on that? It doesn't really matter if its midi or audio, as long as your processor can handle it. It just depends on what method you're more comfortable with. I mostly leave everything in midi.           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

after i got core 2 duo and 3 gb of ram i leave almost everything in midi but the sounds i wanna cut, reverse or do some audio editing i cant do to midi.
it seems to me that as more cpu power you have the more sounds you should leave in midi. there is a reason of bouncing down the clips only if you have some kind of artistic intention to edit the audio clip.
