The Channel EQ, think makes sense in terms of making each instrument have a frequency range and anything outside of it is removed, so its clear where it sits.
The parametric EQ, was using before the compressor to not allow any compression of unwanted frequencies and boost others to be flattened into a solid sound.

the way you have it, is like double the effect of one single EQlizer (maybe over doing it). sometimes it is preferable to have some transparent frequencies below/above the LP/HP.
for me, the lead synth almost sounds better (more fat and shrill like it should be)without the Parametric 2 on. just shelfed on the channel EQ like is.
anyway, sounds cool on the headphones.

Learned how compressors work better now, an realized they flatten peaks, so EQ's before the compressors should increase awkward frequencies, so that when its compressed these sounds are then flattened.

i know what ur sayin.
do you know if anybody else is cutting on the parametric AND simultaneously shelving on the channel EQ like that? genuinely curious. It should isolate the tops and bottoms even more that way.
But like i said; sometimes you want some transparent tops and bottoms getting through -like with shelves only.
I hope someone else can give their opinion on this.
Can you agree that your synth sound cooler when you flick off the parametric2?

Yeh, agree it sounds better as done the EQ backwards, as when its compressed it then does reverse of what it would do normally. so need to readjust, if plan on using that as a technique.
