Ok, i've recorded two-channel 7min long sample by a good didge-player with one close sm57 and one condenser overhead mic. I love the sound captured by sm57 so i think i'm not going to process it a lot... but what to do with room mic track? Anyone who has used didge on low end music like psytrance could give me some tips? Cheers.           Jonesy

If it already sounds good why use it? I'd say just treat it as a guitar recording. Read up on soundonsound.com or something for tips on this matter.           soundcloud.com/supergroover

As didj has lots of low freqs probably I'd filter them out to prevent overlapping and masking with psy bassline. Then add more mid&hi freqs for crisp. But it depends, if psy bassline is gone you can use full power didj bass =)

Didjeridoo fits very well with psytrance. In fact many classic psytrance sounds are imitations of the digeridoo sound. I know a good track where a didge is sampled :

(1:35 for example)

Also i know a didgeridoo player that plays psytrance directly on his didge :

Few Australian artists nicely mix didjeridoo with prog ( Chug, Oculus).
There are many types and styles of didj playing, one particular is combined with beatbox and other effects. Also imitation of animal voices played on didj sounds very cool. Could sit very well in chill/psy mix

put the didj wide in the stereo field and have kb in mono. use a stereo delay and have L delay set to 1ms and R delay at 10 ms. should give nice stereo effect and keep it out of the way of the kb           --

I believe you don't need an overhead mic for didge .. all you need is one closed mic and the dynamic cardioid sm57 is a good choice for this instrument.
Could be interesting to hear only to the overhead though.
Haven't recorded any didge so far though.. but have to do at some point too
Try what sounds best in the mix.
