behringers are quite fine for home use... no problems at all, just not the greatest EQ Gain control can be a little unclear on behringers too, but otherwise i like them.... And they're dirtcheap, which makes up for a lot. For cd-players i'd go for denon all the way, but pioneer is the other standard, so pioneer or denon is the choice u should make, depends if u like jogwheels or bend-buttons

I've found all pioneer gear to have that cheap plastic feel to it. I know it costs more, but I like some weight & resistance to the knobs, buttons, etc.

Hands down, I feel Denon makes the best CD decks. They have a new model, with a lot fo great features at a much more affordable price. The Denon DN-S1000. You can check it out at http://www.denondj.com/. In the US, there is a dealer on eBay selling them for $330. Most places are $400 right now. Denon has a great feel to it, and I've had read errors at times, and the disc still kept playing without interruption. If you get a 19" version, rack mount it in a case.

Mixers, I like Rane, because they have a good feel, and some of the best sounding EQ's I feel. There are plenty to choose from. I can tell you from experience that while lots of the cheaper mixers have a lot of the same features as more expensive ones, they don't handle wear & tear very good. So if you're going to be taking it out alot or battling, save up and spend a little the extra for something decent.

Behringer seems to be hit or miss. Some models are good, and some are bad...and their quality control isn't consistent. My behringer truth monitors were a good buy for me, as well as their mini 5 channel mixer. I tried one of their compressor/limitors, and it sounded bad.           Keep The Faith,

thx for your answers guys, i've found a site and i've narrowed down the list at 2 names : pioneer djm-300 and pioneer djm-707. i would like to know the differences between them, because 707 seems to be more expensive and i dont understand why, because it doesnt have bpm counter as well. also i've red a review online which sayes :"Although the 909 and 707 weigh in at a hefty 14 pounds (approximately) and feel much more solidly constructed than their predecessors, my sound-quality tests proved to be disappointing. DJM-909 and 707 introduce noticeable distortion at levels over +3 dB. Prior to that threshold, they sound fine, but I've always disagreed with Pioneer's practice of dedicating almost half of the meter section to values higher than 0 dB. I tried several gain-structure variations with phono and line inputs, like low input trim/high master volume and high input trim/low master volume, and I'm sorry to report that both boards were markedly distorted way before reaching their maximum meter levels, sometimes below 0 dB on the master meter. 909 and 707 do not have a main output trim on the back, which allows users to calibrate not only the overall output level of the board but also the relationship of the output level to the meters." . what should i understand out of this, that pioneer mixers have a bad sonic performance? and if yes, which mixers are better from that point of view?

Definetely best value for your money...it comes at just 175 euros and has everything you need from a dj mixer ..even got a lot of built in digital effects.I've played with it and it's really fun a bit of disturbing noise though but doesn't bother me at all            Peace, Love, Death metal
