Damn, I was going to ask you guys to pick your favorite between Penn and Hughes, but seems the fight already happened and the outcome was brutal!
So who did you guys favor? I favored the Hawaiian of course, cos I lived in his hometown of Hilo for a while Feel bad for Hughes though. Hope he retires after this. End a good career with some respect.

So Rich, are you a full time MMA fan now?
It was a great show I think. Sotiropolous as I suspected beat J Lau handily, Phil Davis was wonderful as usual. Can't wait to see him getting some tough opponents next to really test his skills, maybe Thiago Silva? Penn's KO was remarkable. I rooted for Hughes but damn, The Prodigy is back and now he's slated to face the human blanket, John Fitch at UFC 128. The main event delivered, surprisingly and although Machida lost I really had him winning following his last round explosion. One of those fights that I really felt sorry didn't last 2 more rounds.

I'm not looking forward to seeing Fitch lay in a corner with Penn in rubber guard smacking him with elbows for 3 rounds and winning it by another completely boring fucking Fitch fight bonanza.
BUT, BJ looked pumped in this weight class makes me happy to see him back in the game.

Your concerns are valid but if anybody can derail Fitch at the moment is the "Motivated" BJ Penn.

Can't say I'm a full fan yet (and I don't have that cable channel!) but I did read a pre show article and thought it was a good story.

Make sure you see the Primetime St Pierre VS Koscheck before their UFC 124 bout. There's plenty of animosity between them and the event is going to be a blockbuster. It's gonna have a nice freak show McCorkle VS Struve, 2 highest Heavyweights in the world, a very very young and promising Charles Oliveira vs the very tough Jim Miller and also a very intriguing fight between Thiago Alves and John "Doomsday" Howard

Probably not the best day at the office, get knocked out, find yourself taking the judge down, mounting the judge and then realizing what you have done
