Frankie Edgar vs. B.J. Penn - wow Edgar handled Penn! ive never seen Penn get bullied like that. BJ has always been one of my favorite fighters.
Randy Couture vs. James Toney - thank God there wasnt a set up for anything else. as Joe Rogan said "the same lessons learned from UFC 1 apply today". Straight up boxers are not prepared for take downs. I imagined Toney would put up a better fight with the months of shit talking but he was really disappointing to watch. Randy made it look like textbook.
Kenny Florian vs. Gray Maynard - Good fight here, I was hoping Florian would come through but he couldnt find it.
Demian Maia vs. Mario Miranda - Pretty boring fight.
Nate Diaz vs. Marcus Davis - Damn that was a huge welt on the side of Marcus Davis's head. Nate Diaz is definitely good but seems cocky.

Mir vs. Crocop, should be a great fight.
There was a local fight put together by one of the mma teams from around here right before the UFC fight, and I have to say it was really nice and very well organized. Fighters from all over the country here and my town (Greenville) kicked some ass! I know of at least 1 broken jaw and a broke nose. The main event was a heavyweight pro fight and featured a local guy that is pretty fucking sick. I wouldnt be surprised to see him in the UFC.

Ok saw it, thank lord they kicked out toney from the ufc, I was fucking embarassed when I saw him in the octagon. And good job edgar, you danced your way to your first defence, and thank lord Maia did not finish that fight, would've spoiled his perfect record of non finished fights!

glad to see Edgar take away BJ's excuses... he's like a mini Rocky Balboa
and the toney takedown will grace many gifs and blooper reels to come... kinda a shame... I was hoping for the miracle Mercer vs Sylvia punch, but never happened... I knew he didn't have much of a chance, but I think it would have just been funny for Toney to stick around and talk even more crap than he was if he won... now all we need is to see the rematch in the boxing ring
and thank god for J-Lau getting things started after that tremendously lackluster performance by Winner and Lentz...

Toney was a joke...
I never liked BJ...but I have to admit...this is not good...155 is so fucking deep its going to get too technical and boring for me...
