Hi ppl , can you guys explain me something?

I would like to know the diferences between:
1- Mix
2- Remix
3- Vs.
4- Feat

I mean is there a technical diference or is it just cosmetics?

np: Vibrasphere - Out of my system

Mix - the final stage of song production, where levels, effects and final touches are being made.
remix - when someone takes the raw data of a track and makes a similar track with his own personal touches
Vs. - Versus. usually in a boxing match, this means you fight with someone till you make the track ;-)
Feat - Featuring, meaning you have a guest appereance in the track making.

cool...
thanks...
just one more question, when you "remix" what do you mean "raw data" is it the cubase file or something? You can't remix a track without it?

thanks again.

An artist takes his 1."MIX" and give it to another artist that make the 2."REMIX"

1. a final track with all the sounds & wavs
2. place the sounds & wavs in , maybe , another order , volume , position in the track , and final touches.

but mix and remix can actually mean loads of things...

a mix (noun)in the musical sense can be a particular mix (remix) of a track, or a mix done by a dJ, or a mixdown
remix can mean to produce a new version of a track from scratch, or it used to mean just to juggle around with a track

and jason dude, fighting in a studio can be very costly, believe me
when your opponent falls on the mixing desk, or synth, just watch all those precious knobs getting smashed off the front and your expeNSIVVVEEE gear getting absoloutely wrecked
not a pretty sight

When I'm vs. my friend, we fight who gets to sit on the good chair. :)
When I'm feat. my friend, I'm making some groove, and he is in MY kitchen eating MY pizza and throwing comments here and there.
