Miss Kittin embraces her inner goth on her second longplayer Batbox due out early next year.

Inside the heart of many an electronic musician lurks a closet goth, we suspect, and the latest to come clean about their true identity is French diva Miss Kittin. Batbox (a reference to London goth club Batcave, perhaps?) finds Ms. Herve again dishing up her trademark tongue-in-cheek vocals, this time with a goth-friendly spin. Here’s two: "Batbox, is that all you goth?” and "Oh to be a modern girl who's not ashamed to be in guitar shops, walking down the street with a leather raincoat." And other gothy pursuits we guess.

Miss Kittin describes the album thusly: “BatBox is a redemption. Let the bats in my head fly out. I was saying goodbye to old ghosts, allowing light to reduce the shadows and fight the dark. It was like opening a window on new perceptions, not with my eyes but through intuition, just like bats and cats do.” Two years in the making, the album is made up of thirteen short tracks including 'Sunset Strip', a collaboration with Melophobia, aka Pascal Gabriel, who has worked with pop starlets such as Kylie and Dido. Adding to the darkness is a 12-page album booklet containing spooky artwork from Emily the Strange creator Rob Reger.

about this album im very glad for it...its much better than her first "i com" i really like the tracks play me a tape, pollution of the mind, lightmaker, playmate of the century and sunset strip

i was at the release party of this album duing fashion week where she preformed the whole album live plus some older stuff..i think alot of people think when they see her that oh she is just a bimbo who sings ..but the girl has maad dj skills and when she go on stage she control the dancefloor flawless

but i would prefer a the hacker & miss kittin live set over her own liveset anyday

I'm up for that
