Yeah people!

Maybe you heard a little bit about Sub-machine.NET, a netlabel focused on tech-trance-downtempo-experimental music, publishing stuff under CreativeCommon licenses...

Here's an edit-mix I did this summer along with my team-mate H-Mong, using the same principles as Richie Hawtin 's "DE9 closer to the edit", taking tracks from artists of the label, spliting loops, extracting sounds from them, and rearrange to create and brand new story, which shows with a diffrent point the 2004-2005's side of Sub-machine.NET

The whole feeling of this shit can be described as minimal-techy-tune

Thanx to artists, who make it possible...

You are free to burn, play, copy, and share it!

Enjoy!

héhé Vinnie

In fact there is no tracklist at all, it's a big work of re-construction from about 30 tracks available on the website sub-machine.NET

I took hundreds of loops and sounds from tracks and chopped, altered, customed, and rearrange them into a big 1 hour track, using a sequencer ... So it's very very difficult to recognize a particular track inside... I must mention too, that the used material is released under Creative Common license (kind of Copyleft, or free art license).
Artists I took the sound are all french: Lipo, LodreuLhamo, TheSnakepit(myself in my experimental solo project, exclusively under CreativeCommon license), and ::Kali-Frogz::.

I see more and more people releasing trance or techno music freely under thes type of license, and it's a good thing, it makes spread the words everywhere, and not only into the psy-scene...
And it doesn't affect the fact that artists can release stuff on "normal/commercial" label...

Hi Suspekt.

No, It's not released on the old frenc label sub-machine.
Here, It's the same name but it is a net label. And you can find electronic releases from different artists
::Kali-Frogz:: will released their new EP this week end >>>FlatBone Ep<<<

no but the sub-machine.net master was a member of the label crew sub-machine records, so they split, I think it's why the name is the same, also you can find tetraktys free release and more french artists, all release under creative commons license
