in relate to the thread in the trance in israel forum. i have something to add that belongs here. my two cents:
basically trance is a music for parties.
i listen  a lot to trance at home but trance is also a music  for TRANCE parties. i like both styles minimal and goa, and i think that they are'nt contridicting one another but complete eachother.
however, i have noticed that in allmost all the last parties that i have been recently. there was minimal music all the party. all the party night dark and minimal. even in the morning only hafirot and digging. i have a question for u guys, do u like all this minimal taking over the all trance. digging its fun but in 7 a.m i want to hear melodies of goa and not suddenly a paps or snug as a bug track.
share your toughts
plur

I like it :) i think it's a refreshing change, i was at so many parties with goa trance and this kind of music and i think this change is for the best. about the morning- i think that when the DJ see the crowd demands more psychedelic/goa music (more bpm) then he should give it to the crowd, it all depends in the crowd.

All in good taste my friend. I love progressive music, I find it much more interesting (musicaly) than the melodic stuff, but there's a place and time for everything, and playing minimal progressive trance in the morning is sometimes a miss. Of course it all depends on the place, people and general atmosphere of the party: sometimes getting a fistful of progressive tune in the morning is really cool, and sometimes a good old fashioned GOA party is in place (I admit to all who know me that I perfare the good ol'GOA mornings...).

A good party is one that balances between the verious styles and has a defined theme or line in it; hearing GMS/IM/Astral at 2:00 AM is almost as bad as getting a Midimiliz morning set...

i felt like u too dor a few months ago...

but i learnt to live with it, and it's fun as hell digging on and on :)

but it's amazing to fly to goa melodies at sunrise and fter that only happy melodic stuff :)

that's the way it should be in my opinion , but benny  is absoloutly right here, if the crowd wants it, GIVE IT! and HAAAaaaRD!

if not, then keep on doing what ever u want... that's what good D.J-ing is alla bout IMHO, giving the crow what it wants.

Please ppl, we cant possibly add to this thread.
It has been discussed over hundereds of threads.
Trance, like other musical generes has many sides and varies, some of us like blue, some of us preffer red but the fact is the world has a whole scale :) Check out the lineup before u go to a party and advise other ppl if u do not know some of it, but please, stop arguing about whats best for which party, what hour of the day etc'. Although ive got my favourites aswell im sure we can all share a good party together for whatever sub-genere is played, all we gotta do is open our minds a bit :) And thank god trance is sucha rich genere and that theres so much to experience.

ok
this is kinda weird for me and i`ll share it with.
never ever have i seen alot of people who discuss stuff like should you play this kinda music in the right time or not.
well i`ll tell ya this - there`s no right time for any track now i am saying you should play jazz in a trance party but what i am saying is why think GOA is for mornig and minimal (well i don`t think there is such a big difference)is for night? good music is good it all depends on the mix and the right context.
