As I moved to at very very small place I need to make to smalest setup possible.
I ordered a kickass laptop (dual 2,52 GhZ, 4Gb DDR2, Nvidia 9600 GT and so on)and i have my sweet ESI nEar 06 (know lots of ppl don't like them, but I do). What I need know is something to work as audio interface, midi interface, midi controller and maybe even synth, also it has to have keys (25 i guess).
Soo.... I'm currently looking at Xiosynth25, and X-station25... But are they any good? I meen, the synth part is not too important, but the audio interface has to be nice with low latency...
Is there other brands on the marked producing simular products?
Hmm, I'm gonna stop now... hope someone can help me...
I just woke up after a long nights work, think my brain needs a shit load of coffee to be kickstarted...

If you only need a midi controller, then I would recommend the Novation ReMote 25 SL... It's just pure awsomeness...           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

Do you realize how much space an interface takes up? lol

Unless you've moved into a prison cell I think you should be ok with a separate interface and controller.

XioSynth, if that's really what you want to do.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Yes I realize that an audio interface does not take up a whole lot of space, but the price is also an aspect. The "one device" solution, would be an cheap solution....
How is the latency on the xiosynth....?

I think buying them seperately is usually cheaper, and definitely more effective..I've only tried out the xiosynth for its synth sounds and just to see how the keys and knobs felt, so no personal experience with it with use as an interface as well..the audio/midi in and audio out latency will obviously be adjustable..           You believe in the users?
