this is the problemm for non SONY md in israel.
as i know nowhere u can do it proffesional.

the thing is that sharp dont bring md's to israel so their labs dont fix it.. the onyl thing i can suggest is a private lab and i know the one in TA in shenkin street number 3.

for SONY -
they dont have "close to home lab" but call 144 and ask to ISHPAR tel in tel aviv (migdal ha-shalom) and they are importers and distributers. |

stop this crap-
for ron- it's not better solution casue it's not cheaper in most of the cases.. in if you had let's say a sony-50 you wouldnt want to a but a new one right?
for eli- not only the main lab in TA.. every city has an electricity lab wich are the presentive's of sony for fixing their devices including dimona and kiryat shmona..
for bilbo- if someone is not that handi than messing with your md is not a wise idea and there is always a place that will fix your md. ( worth loosing the bus money than your md..)

from my experience with private labs ...
if it's not official - it's not good enough.
k. if your MD doesn't record, it can be:
1) the laser is weak (which means u can throw the unit to the janitor or "alte sachen", because to order laser unit will cost you some money.)
2) the lense is dirty. how to clean the lense...
read the site- it's simple.
3) some mechanical part that is responsible for
the recording blocking is stuck. this only you can tell.
4) something else.that only you know, mr k.
it's not so complex ... and i read it all from the site.
