Dear Mindoutpsyde supporters and fellow music event organizers,

Mindoutpsyde has very recently encountered some negative publicity which has impacted our upcoming event, Uncharted Territory, in several ways. A resident of Fairfield, who lived near our last event, Expedition, was very upset about the noise level of the event, as well as the fact that a weekend-long electronic music event was in close proximity to his home. We eventually found a new and better outdoor venue near Des Moines, IA and moved the event to it immediately, as we did not want to interfere with the neighbor's concerns about the loud music.

This individual, with the help of neighbors he has persuaded, have gone to great lengths to try and stop Mindoutpsyde from hosting any future events. Despite the fact that the event was moved out of Fairfield to land near Des Moines, IA, this individual has continued to harass us (Mindoutpsyde) and pursue various efforts to prevent Uncharted Territory from happening, with hopes of hurting Mindoutpsyde enough that we would stop organizing music events for good. After this individual recently contacted the land owner near Des Moines, the land owner no longer feels comfortable hosting the event on his property.

For the reasons discussed, we have decided to move the event back to Iowa City, where local law enforcement and city officials are already aware of who we (Mindoutpsyde) are, and the legitimate, legal nature of the music events we organize. This will ensure that the event is a safe one, with no potential harassment from the neighbor or any ill-informed law enforcement officials from other counties. To protect our attendees and to ensure a safe and protected dancing environment, we have decided to move this event to an indoor venue in the Iowa City area.

We sincerely apologize for any and ALL inconveniences this issue may have caused our supporters and any music lovers out there, but we can assure you that this event will be just as explosive as it would have been outdoors. We (Mindoutpsyde) have endured much stress and headache in our attempts to prevent and avoid further harassment from this Fairfield resident, so we can assure you that we are more-than-ready to UNLEASH it all on the dance floor with the rest of the tribe!

Ticket prices are now significantly reduced to accommodate for the change from an outdoor to an indoor venue, as to aid everyone in getting hotels. This way our attendees can team up and enjoy the comfort of a hotel over the course of the weekend. To attend both nights of Uncharted Territory, the cost is now only $40. This also means that the cost of attendance Friday night is $40, even if you do not attend Saturday night. To attend Saturday night only, the cost is only $30. Those who have purchased Presale tickets will receive a $20 refund.

We encourage all event attendees and event promoters out there to be smart and alert as they dance and enjoy themselves, as this Fairfield resident has spread many negative, untrue rumors about our events, and about Iowa's electronic music community in general. Again, we are extremely sorry that this issue has come about at the time it has... We wish we were more prepared to deal with such an incident. On an optimistic note, this has been a powerful learning experience for us, one that has strengthened the core of Mindoutpsyde and made us an even stronger, more wide-spread, organization.

Thank you for your understanding and support, and please help us to keep spreading the music, energy, and awareness! When we all combine our efforts into one, we truly are an unstoppable force! With all of your positive thoughts and prayers, we will most certainly Keep It Goan'!

Thanks again,

Mindoutpsyde

Who is this Fairfield neighbor? Why should he care about something we're going to be doing many miles from his house, like over a hundred miles? Can't you get a restraining order, or something? Send the boys over and do some 'xplainin' or something? Sic a lawyer on him? Raise his rent? Sounds like he's stalking you and using our own resources to track your plans. What's his trip? Perhaps he can be bought off, or is this something personal with him? How'd it ever come to this? I better make some calls. My guy in the Weather Control Bureau can do more than cool nights and sunny days. He might have a special on lightening strikes.

I'm bumming now, but I'm still planning on coming out there. The plane tickets are bought and paid for. Where's Iowa city? Should I just stay in Denver and not catch the Friday plane out to Des Moines? Let me know by early Friday morning at the lastest sooner if possible, if you can? I am sure that I can stay in Denver for the weekend and just have that as my vacation, but I'll need to check on it and I was really hoping and looking forward to the originally scheduled event, and then the rescheduled Zion location festival. I have the feeling a lot of us were. A hotel? Hmm, this will take a whole different kind of short notice planning, something us less well to do people aren't in as good of a position to make happen, but I'll think of something. It looks like some more phone calls. Let your fingers do the walking.

Iowa City is 125 miles from the Des Moines airport according to Google Maps. Ol' Greyhound, baby, here I come. Or hey, was there anyone leaving or passing through Des Moines Friday that's still planning on going to the new location that might be able to take me? OK, I still want to come, but I am really sad about it being indoors. I will make the best of it. Get a big place, will you? And please attend to the accoustics if possible. I think the outdoor events have spoiled me to how good they sound with minimal need for messing with the sound as compared to indoors. Just turn it up! Heat's a problem for me too. Dancing and high temperatures have a negative effect upon my experience. I guess them Texans are tougher in the heat than us southern Californians, but cooler temperatures are mighty fine for me. Indoors traps the heat from all the energy of the people. Nice on a cold night. How's the weather in Iowa City? Oh yeah, not so important indoors. Let it rain, then, but let's have it cool.

I will think positive thoughts as it was confirmed by Jim Morrison that you cannot petition the Lord with prayer. I am sure that you didn't want to post this last message. I do appreciate you getting it here as soon as you did, letting me and others know what's happening. All I have to do is find out where it's going to be, and then show up. With the logistics and everything else that go into making a gathering happen are something that could easily overwhelm me just having to imagine dealing with it.

I still don't know where it is being held! That's three darts you've thrown at the map on the wall, I get to throw some too. Right magnaminous of you to offer the refund too. I like that. You guys are doing your best to make good on things beyond your control without turning tail and running. We will have a gathering!

Four more days 'til Friday. Did I ever tell you that Friday is my favorite day of the week?

Just curious if there are any more last minute "surprises" on the lineup.
Samadhi was announced after building up hype with the > "to be announced surprise Act" which eventually didnt work out(for a legit reason i'm sure)
But he still is on the lineup on the Mindoutpsyde page !
Well, looking forward to Earthdance > outdoors and Unchartered Territory > indoors as i bought presales for both events !

This changes things for sure , but Good luck with everything !

Without getting into details about the neighbor (more info about him and our actions will be released soon), needless to say that the party is on. It is in Iowa City and its FINAL!!! This event MUST and WILL go on to prove all these rumors untrue and we must all always keep it Goa'n.

For people driving outside from Iowa, please do not make any changes. Iowa City is nearer to the original venue in Fairfield and around one hour away more from Des Moines.

We will be still having both the stages and the same artists playing for us - its just different venue.

We will help out everybody with arrangements to stay over the weekend.

Just PM one of us (me, Abrahm, Collision, Aktif or Alien Audience) and we will give you all the details.

@Kevin: We have bunch of people coming from Des Moines and we should be able to hook you up for a ride. Please PM us with your phone number and we will get in touch with you. Also, you might want to post for a ride share at http://www.mindoutpsyde.com where lot of Iowa people are registered and who do not check Isra.

@Lovenlight: I will mail you later on with all the details.

LET ME REITERATE IT AGAIN - The party is happening without any doubt and with the same amount of energy and effort. Needless to say, we will have as much fun as you can expect from a Mindoutpsyde party. Please dont let this venue change effect any of your plans. Des Moines to Iowa City. Burlington Trailways can do it for $23.25 one way. So this might work yet. If the plane lands on time, I'll have 1 hour and 19 minutes to get to the bus depot, or it's rental car time. I guess I'll check that out too. Kind of nice to have a car and not deal with buses and schedules.

A rental car is $105.96. A small car, but comparable to dealing with the taxi fare to the bus depot and worrying about schedules and missed connections, so it might be worth the extra 60 bucks plus fuel. And someone might want to share the cost if Des Moines is your starting point? I am a professional driver, but I haven't been to Iowa since 1985.

I think the most fun and economical way is still to carpool with one or more people. If that's an option, let me know. I'd much rather help out with the fuel costs than give the money to these transportation companies. I will say that the transportation companies seem reasonable in their pricing, but they sure have a lot of conditions and rules to deal with along with the schedules and travel restrictions they impose.

There's my options. If anyone wants to share the ride or costs and has a similar schedule to mine, we can do it. Write me here or at the e-mail address. I'll check daily before I leave on Wednesday and I should have access to the internet Friday morning in Denver. The way back to Des Moines isn't too critical timewise, so depending on how I get to Iowa City I might be able to help out on the return trip if it ends up that my ride to Iowa City is a one way deal. I might just wing it and play it by ear. This seems like my usual way of travelling, but it is different not having my own vehicle with me.

All of this is on the assumption that the event is going to be held. Otherwise I'm only going as far east as Denver. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope I might be able to help others get there too.

Hi Acidity. I saw your post after I posted this one. Thank you. I'll check the mindoutpsyde site. Lots of Dez Moineanz are coming? Cool. Then the carpool can probably happen. Much better than them other options.

Folks,

Our GREATEST apologies go out to all of you who made travel plans, expecting an outdoor event. This situation was a total shock to us, and we would have gotten a restraining order on the individual had this happened any sooner. We are taking steps to ensure that a restraining order is created in time for the event, and all future events.

We can help line up rides from ANYWHERE in Iowa, so please let us know where you are flying into and when so that we can set up a ride to get you to Iowa City. For those who cannot afford motels, please contact Collision or myself, as we have a house we can share with our out-of-state guests that cannot afford hotels / motels.

On a positive note, you all will be able to experience one of the most killer venues in all of Iowa City. Even though the event is totally indoors now, the dance floor will be FURIOUS with stomping energy. Please help us keep a positive outlook on this, and prepare for the stomp!

As for Samadhi, we are sorry we never updated the line up on the Mindoutpsyde page... his visa was not successfully renewed in time to make it to Iowa for this event, and after dealing with all the crap that this neighbor has brought on us, we did not take the time to update the line up on the MOP page.

I promise ya folks, we have endured and suffered through so much crap due to this neighbor and the Fairfield residents he has convinced, we will be stomping for a different reason at this event. Not just because Psytrance (and all music) is awesome, Not just because there will be KILLER talent here from all over the world, but mainly because we are SO DAMN LUCKY that we have 2 safe, protected, insured, totally legitimate venues to host both nights of this event in. We are lucky this event is happening at all, and I cant wait to let it ALL out on the dance floor.

You will still hear me screaming over the music, I promise

We have never experienced negativity in this extreme... and I can ensure all of you, that we will be 100% prepared for this in the future.

Take care,

BOOM from Psyowa!           Abrahm

For those planning on camping and don't have money for an hotel, I have a large apartment in Cedar Rapids that is 20 mins. from the venue for people to stay at if necessary. It is important that this event goes on and people still come.

If anyone is interested, get in contact with Abe, Chris or Nick and they can get in contact with me. We are stil touching Uncharted Territories and we will prove these rumors wrong.Lets keep this Goa'n folks.
