THIS EVENT IS NOW ON: FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7th
Dear Mindoutpsyde Supporters,
Recently we experienced another venue issue. The unprofessional booking manager of The Industry "forgot" that our event was on Saturday November 8th, and foolishly booked other bands to use the bar for that night. After meeting with the OWNER of the establishment to resolve the issue, we now have an arrangement where we are able to contact him directly in order to make all future arrangements for our events, in order to avoid any further complications which may be caused by the booking manager.
For this reason, we have been forced to move the event to FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7th, instead of Saturday. Mindoutpsyde apologies to all of you who have made travel plans and taken off work, but we assure you that this issue will not happen again, as the matter has been fully resolved with the venue owner.
Thank you for understanding and for trying to make it out still! Trans-Dimensional Shift 3 is our 30th event, celebrating Mindoutpsyde's 3rd year anniversary, so we are 3 times as excited to stomp to the amazing music of Ocelot, and several other regional musicians from around the Midwest!

It was awesome, here's my review:
Great party! Thank you MOP for having me out to play on the main stage, it was a lot of fun. Unfortunate as it was to have it moved from saturday to friday, it speaks very highly of MOP's ability to get stuff done that they were able to still have the event at all. I wish I could have stayed through the morning on saturday, but since I had already planned on being up to tailgate I needed to get some sleep so I left about half way through Brent's set.
I got there in time to hear Nick play some quality, zany tunes as he always does. Max threw down an awesome set full of great night time music that flowed perfectly. Ocelot's set was mind blowing. So much diversity from track to track. Unlike any live PA I've heard before. His sound ranged from Portuguese power, to Brazilian dark, to Mexican craziness - like I said, a very diverse pallet of sounds. I really enjoyed every second of it and Aaron seemed to enjoy playing as well (and thanks for fixing the low end on the sound system too- good to have a headliner who is also a sound engineer).
As I said, I only caught the first half of Brents set due to needing sleep. I think you've got some great ideas Brent, but to be honest it seems like some tracks could use another layer of sound. By this I mean that I didn't notice much movement in your tracks, it seemed like the same kick/bassline with a lead and that was it. Some sweeps, drum rolls or other sounds to add movement to the tracks would do wonders. This is all just my opinion and it's more about making music that you are happy with anyway, I just wanted to add my critique (plus I'm a sound layer whore when it comes to psy music ). I know a lot of people who like your music a lot and am very proud that you have done so much in the way of production. Your sound will only get better and better, so keep it goan!
Once again, thank you MOP for having this awesome party despite the obstacles you faced, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. Hope to see you guys this weekend in minny!

Wow, what a night! Where to begin...?
First of all, THANK YOU to all of you who came out to support us for our Mindoutpsyde birthday event! I could not have been more surprised at the amount of people that showed up, and the quality of the people that showed up. People like Pauldo, Ashley, Allen, Tobias that surprised us with their appearance really made the night complete. Their attendance truly reassured me that people still care about us and what are trying to do here in Iowa, so it meant a lot to me to have so many surprise guest appearances.
Secondly, THANK YOU to all the musicians! Ascension has improved so drastically over the last year, he really is proving himself as a diverse and on-point DJ! PERFECT track selection for the time of his slot, building from more full-on style sounds, into the power stuff, ending with a little bit of darkness! Great flow, SEAMLESS mixing, and great energy behind the decks, it was a pleasure to stomp for this individual to say the least! He really got the crowd worked up, which led smoothly into Max. PsychoHazard came through like a pro, continuing where Ascension had left off. Bringing some powerful night time tunes that somehow preserved some melody in them, this man took the dance floor even further! Fun, wild, melodic, groovy, funky, hip-hopping night time tunes, and GREAT energy behind the decks. Really good at engaging the audience, the dance floor was loving it! Amazing sets from Ascension and PsychoHazard, they set it up PERFECTLY for Ocelot. Definitely will have you two out to play again sometime.
As for Ocelot, this man is not human. His music speaks the complex emotions and thought patterns of only the most advanced extra-terrestrial life forms... Instantly, the dance floor was united in trance! Peoples' brains were directly connected to the music, allowing us to float on the tips of our toes, dancing effortlessly, yet vigorously, as more and more people committed themselves to the stomp. Every so often I would open my eyes, only to see more and more individuals crowding in, synchronizing their minds, and adding to the dance floor. The tribe was united, interconnected, synchronized, assimilated, all into one! Flowing from one alien melody to the next, the deep, rounded, rumbling bass lines of Ocelot kept us all on the same page as we experienced deeper and deeper levels of this mans musical abilities. WOW, is all I can say. What a birthday treat! Ocelot has thrown it down properly every time he has visited Iowa, and this time he raised his own bar once again. By far the best set I have heard from him, even better than the set at Psyology! He really just keeps pushing it, it was such a treat to have our brain waves manipulated by this sonic wizard. Amazing dance floor experience to say the least.
Lastly, the after hours was a ton of fun also! As we all converged upon the house, it was chaos getting sound and deco set up, but it was done rather quickly thanks to some solid teamwork! Once the music got going, nothing calmed down it seemed. The basement was a full on, furious dance floor experience, while the upstairs living room provided a more downtempo, relaxing environment. It was great to have conversations with so many folks, and to help people to get comfortable as they prepared to get some much needed rest. Been a long time since we've been able to host out-of-towners, so it was much to our pleasure to help spread blankets, pillows, and couch space out to those that needed it most. At the after hours I was too busy running around, conversing, and playing host, to be able to pay attention to very much of the after-hours music, but I was able to catch the last 15 minutes of Strooya's set. Strooya recently began mixing morning full-on Psytrance, and he played a great finishing set to close out the event from 6-7am. Great energy behind the decks, smooth transitions between songs, great track selection, and an awesome personality, really made this set one of the most appropriate closing sets one could have imagined for an anniversary event like this. Inspiring melodies, rejuvenating samples, and an intelligent DJ putting it all together, really was a preview for what the future holds for us here in Iowa. With soldiers like this out there spreading the good vibes and awareness, I have no doubts that Psyowa will continue to grow, continue to spread the music, and continue to spread the good times.
We are a tribe, just one small sector of a global tribe, and we are doing our best to help others discover Psytrance events. Our intention is to help others to take what we have each taken from the music and the events, and we aim to continue spreading this music throughout society to help make a difference. We sincerely thank EVERYONE who came to the event to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary with us, and we sincerely thank EVERYONE who was sending their love and support from long distance. We hope to continue this journey with all of your help, hoping to make each and every event more meaningful than the last. Thanks to everyone who has helped in anyway, shape, or form, with any of our events, and thanks in advance to all of those individuals who will be helping in the future.
This journey has been unbelievable so far, yet for some reason, I believe we have barely seen the tip of the iceberg.
Thanks again everyone... please help us to Keep It Goa'n!
BOOM!
