greeting to and from the underground,

Mindgames is back.

The Labyrinth 2002
Venue: Nalamata Camp Area, Gunma
Date: August 3-August 4, "Sunset to Sunset"

Live:
Antix (Plastic Park, Iboga, Spiraltrax / NZ)
Bitmonx (Medium, Iboga, Spiritzone / D)

Dj:
Mapusa vs Bitmonx (Spirit Zone / D)
Process (Creamcrop, Twisted, tip.world / UK)
Peter Didjital (Digital Structures / SWE)
Barton "Antix" (Manta / NZ)
Makyo (Dakini / JP)
Sal (Stargate / JP)
The Monk (Mindgames / US)

Slide + Video Projections
Hinge Design (Manta / NZ)

The party is on a large flat grassy dance floor close to a large dam and lake, about 2 hours out of Tokyo in Gunma prefecture. Gates open at 3:00, and music will go from Saturday 6:00pm to Sunday 6:00pm, 24-hours non-stop (!) from sunset to sunset, with ambient beginnings and intro sets from Makyo and the Monk, full-on and deep psychedelic from Process in the middle of the night, and then more groovy and progressive in the morning and afternoon, with debut lives in Japan from ANTIX and BITMONX. Mapusa & Bitmonx, will closing the party with a final 5-hour (!) team-set to the sunset.

Camping is possible from Saturday to Monday morning at 11:00 am. So after dancing to the sunset Sunday night, you can chill out with your friends and spend another night camping and smoking. Showers, sinks, and bbq cooking areas are available on site to make life a little easier. But please come prepared for the summer sun, as there is not a lot of shade at the venue. If you want to travel, the Minakami-cho area around the party is famous for its white-water rafting and onsen resorts.

At a MindGames party, there will be minimal lights and deco and maximal sound. For us it is fundamental to let the night be night, and allow the moon and candles to provide the only light, to make way for the morning sun.

The sound system is Funktion-One Resolution Touring, the most advanced PA speakers in the world. For the last decade, the only speakers able to handle trance sound have been EV and Turbosound. Now there is Funktion-One, the next generation of the Turbosound design. Open your eyes, open your mind, open your ears, and feel pure sound hurt in a whole new way.

p.s. The flyers will be out this weekend. I'll be passing them out after the Stargate Son Kite party. Don't be a stranger, say hi!

Fabio will be unable to make it, so in his place we have booked Peter Didjital, the Digital Structures label dj. see the 1st message above for the updated line-up.

May I say that this is a dream line-up for me.

All the best in the party Russ.           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

Hey russ, I was there...as you know.
It was the far better choice than to go to voov for me.
There were sooooo many incredible good ppl whom I've never seen in the recent japanese party scene.
And the sound was just straight to my taste!
Very well-chosen line-up and very well-concerned time table, which I think was perfect!
It was also nice that there was no childish decoration, but simple and sophisticated one.
I was very sorry about two things, one is that I couldn't listened antix live because of too much alchol...and the other is that couldn't make it by the monk's dj time...
I was wandering in THE LABYRINTH you made for more than 10 hours and the last DJ(don't know who was) spinned a very deep track, which let me see the light of its exit, as the same to last year. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you very much and otsukare sama!

bitmonx was huge. his production is on another level entirely. when he started, people told me that they thought the sound system had changed.

I didnt get the chance to go, but I heard that this party was very killer! Good job Russ!!!!
My friends dont like most of the parties that are going on in Japan, but they said labryinth was very good.
They said that it wasnt too crowded and it was the right amount of people, good vibes and good sound system.
Otukaresama!!!!
