well the bot took my post and hucked it in links where it is doomed to languish no doubt... but that's ok as i think it's made me take a better approach to my question
i just recently discovered mikseri.net and thxxndixx and antiscarp. there's a lot of super crazy music on these, most of it too'weird' i think to get released. these artists are in the deep underground (imo).
for someone who loves the finnish sound, i'm so happy now to have found these resources and esp. the artists: Disco Shit and Shiwa 2000.
can anyone recommend some other artists like these guys/girls/bots???
does anyone know anything about Disco Shit or shiwa 2000?
much thanks and peace

hmm.. start with Bem-Pole Connection
get the Gi'iwa compilation "Schizm" - should almost be at Wirikuta by now so it'll prob'ly be out in a coupla weeks or so.
Shiwa 2000 I think maybe involved Tim Thick from Texas Faggott / Mandalavandalz, at least for a coupla tracks?? Not quite sure. They have an album out from a few years ago
Disco Shit is from Israel. Check out Tsabeat & Sattel Battle!!!
new Hadal Drop album on the way

Yep, Disco Shit isn't Finnish. The "owner" of that artist page is Ex Uus (who visits this forum I think) who is from Israel. He seems to host many other non-Finnish artist on his profile (which is nice since it is pretty difficult to get a profile of their own because of the language). All I know about Disco Shit is what it says on mikseri (some guy named Ben). I'm sure Ex Uus can give you better info if he notices this message.
Shiwa2000 according to mikseri is Rick Timebees, Sju Shutanen, Pjotr Therehill, Andy Moondog, Bill Tema, Tim Thick (from TF), Druid Gunther and apparently they make their music with ft2. I guess there could be some other familiar names hidden there behind an alias, but I'm not sure. They released an album in 2000. I haven't heard it, but it didn't seem to get very good reviews at psynews.
As for other stuff on mikseri, Kiwa has some nice tracks there http://www.mikseri.net/artistit/?id=20448
Also check out Sora at www.mikseri.net/sora
Check at least the track Earth Calling, which was pretty nice as I remember (I can't check it now since I'm on a slow connection and the lo-fi doesn't seem to work). |

also try checking out Juvernaut, I first found out about this guy on Soulseek and was talking to a friend of them on there,
some of their stuff is hit and miss, but a few of the tracks are really sexy if that makes any sense. |

If you like more dancable stuff, check out egosentrifug (a.k.a Bem-Pole Connection, a.k.a Huopatossu Mononen) www.mikseri.net/egosentrifug
You can find juvernaut at www.mikseri.net/juvernaut
BTW You can find most artists by just typing their name after www.mikseri.net/ (as you can see from the above). If you don't end up on the artist page you will be redirected to a search page. Just type the name of the artist (it's usually already typed) and select "artistia" from the options. This should lead you to the artist page. |
