Midwest scene?

I live in central Illinois (grad school), I'm a little new to the scene, and I just missed Sacred Earth due to ignorance. What are some other psytrance parties, anywhere in the region? Also, I managed to find the Chilluminati; who else organizes events round these parts? I don't want to miss another event!

Hello and welcome to the wonderful land of central IL. I lived in peoria for a year and a half after school.
Chilluminati will be the ones throwing events close to you. Occasionally there will be events in Bloomington, but our major one is Sacred Earth.
There is also COSMIC EGG (http://www.facebook.com/groups/213882465377783) based in minneapolis- they throw events around the state of MN. They may be doing an event before the end of summer- keep up with the group.
Myself and some other orgs are going to be throwing a 4 day psy festival in western iowa over labor day weekend: http://www.facebook.com/events/247677865333770

I saw the 4 day festival, but I'm going to Burning Man. Of course, I'm lucky to be one of approximately 10 people who got tickets this year, but I'm actually a little sad I can't seem to make it out to any of the summer events around here. I've been listening to psytrance for a couple of years and have gone to some West coast events with West coast friends (Red Marines, Goa Gil), but it didn't even occur to me until recently to look around for a local scene to be a part of. Probably because I don't have many friends in Champaign who'd be interested in joining me. While still true, I guess that matters less to me these days. But, now that I know a scene exists, I want to meet you people!
Anyway, thanks for the reply and maybe one day I'll see you around.
