It gives you virtual MIDI ins and outs and allows you to route MIDI between programs or interfaces.
It also allows you to set up situations where you can route one MIDI input to multiple MIDI yoke channels so you can have your MIDI keyboard play a few different channels at the same time for example.
It works best with MIDI-OX so you can do all the routing.
MIDI yoke just gives you the virtual midi ports. You then need to go into MIDI-OX to do the routing.

yeah, is just a virtual midi device...
I use MidiYoke on my graduation work...sending CC data from Cycling´74 MaxMSP to Ableton Live...
