I have Korg Ms2000, it has only two Midi channels. Thats means I have to record to wave every sound I work on.

My question is how to record a midi channel I have to wave without loosing the quality of sound? I have tried to record to an audio channel but I either get low signal or a very high bad sound. If you have experiance with that please give some advices, thanx.           In god I trust, everybody else pay cash!!!

What I do is I record a midi chanel and then I edit it. Than I have to record it to one of the audio channels. When I do it I get low sound when I press the playback for the audio channel I created.

If I try to make the volume higher while I record, I get a disturbing high sound. I think all my equipment is installed properly, I think I need to have certain settings when I record to the audio channel. I will try your settings maby it will work.           In god I trust, everybody else pay cash!!!

I don't get it, what do you mean by "record a midi channel"?
You have a midi track in cubase and you record it to audio?
Or record yourself playing something and record it to a midi track?

Let say I play a bass line on my Korg ms2000 and send (record) it to a midi track in cubase. Now I have what I recorded on a midi track in cubase. I edit it and now I want to record it as audio so I can add effects and because my synth has only 2 midi cahnnels.

When I try to record it to audio I get the problems I mentioned above.           In god I trust, everybody else pay cash!!!

hey I.D.a.N

few checks you should do:
1.check your cables (PL) , cables can sometime cause a lot of broplems.
2.DO you record trough a mixer or straigh to the soundcard? , make sure the synth is on it's highest volume , if it's trough a mixer you record ,make sure the out gain for the record is high.

what kind of bad quality exactly do you get, hiss, noises, hum???

give some more info about your connection and the problem mate!!!!

I record through a mixer, and as fas as connections everything works fine. I am able to record data to a midi track, playback works fine, etc.

My problem occurs when I record the midi data to audio. It record fine, but when I mute the midi channel and press playback for the audio channel I can hear what I recorded but very very low.

If I set my synth or mixer to highest volume, It will blow up my monitors and it will record it as a very high bad quality sound.

What I want to achive is record data (bassline, melodies), and than record it to audio and have it sound the same (not lower, or higher). I was told I might need a small amp for the mixer, but I a not sure. Do you know this problem?           In god I trust, everybody else pay cash!!!
