Midi to fx inserts in Cubase SX 3

It doesn't seem like it, but when you send midi to a vst instrument and then plug in an effects plugin on an insert, does that effect plugin get the midi input as well?
I want to be able to trigger midi on an effect insert with the same notes as are playing the vsti. Is it possible?
Cubase 4 should be arriving at my door in 2 days, so If sx3 doesn't maybe Cubase 4 does???

if i understand your question properly
you no need triggering midi from insert fx......because
when you playin midi notes from vsti ....insert fx automaticly playing at the same notes

okay, thats what I wanted to know, because it doesn't seem to be triggering the envelope for fabfilter volcano, wanted to make sure it wasn't a limitation of Cubase...
