This might sound a little crazy .... but im conducting a sort of listening experiment... trying to gauge peoples reactions to music via touch.... idea is that the listener will be holding on to say maybe the pitch bend wheel or the mod wheel of a midi controller and push it one way for tension and the other for release... also the amount they push it will indicate how much they are sensing these emotions of tension and release...
So my question is this... Do any of you know of a software that can possibly convert the Midi information to Numerical values in an organized manner (i know midi is numerical values to begin with ) that can be imported into excel sheets from which i can make graphs etc to graphically represent listeners reactions as an average of all the listeners responses.... any help here would be highly appreciated
cheers

cheers acidkills midiox looks interesting...forgot to add ...software for mac would be even better ;-)... one could always do it manually... but that would take forever to map out the listeners reactions along the track boom
