i need to connect 2 synths to my soundcard with only 1 midi
anyone know which ones will work ?
do i need the 2x4 kind ?

How many channels your synths have?
My nord lead 3 has just 4, but my Roland RS-5 has 16...
So I need one interface just for my roland, but my nord lead I can use midi thru to connect some effect boxes, or external controllers.

i need 5 or 6 channels, depends if i use 2 or 3 synths .
i got a nord rack2 and a waldorf pulse, the pulse has a midi thru .

those synths don't have any trouble listening to their own midi-channel(s)... just chain them with the thru (i'd put the pulse first in the chain) and put every part on a different channel and there will be no problem (just look out a little with program changes and sysex, i noticed with my pulse that it sometimes takes program changes that aren't meant for it, the nord can give strange sysex problems, or so i've heard). |

so basically i take the "out" from the soundcard to the "in" in pulse, "thru" from the pulse to the "in"
in nord rack, "out" from the rack to the "in" in the soundcard ? is that how it works ?
and yeah i got a 1x1 usb interface as well just in case, but i can only use 1 midi device at a time in logic .
