Hey guys i am looking for a good Midi step sequencer {like 303 emulator} that will work on win2000 pro.
The good old seq303 seem not to work well.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

not that i underestimate your knowledge, but 303 emulator will be a ... synthesizer.
and midi step sequencer has nothing to do with TB303

i mean what do u need ?
a synth ?
a sequencer ?

if i'm not wrong u were talking about pulsar ... so u have all of the above in the pulsar package.

help me to help u ...

bom.

Nope Bilbo what i meant was step sequencer which simulates the step sequencer like in tb303 or in proggie named seq303. I need this step sequencer to trigger soft synths by MIDI. And no i don't have Pulsar           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

u can trigger softsynths in flp (which reminds the 303 concept a tiny bit with those 1-0 buttons)...OR in any other sequencer prog.

or just get a normal small reliable sequencer - the one I allways used is Cakewalk 3.

Space Ninja, do You mean a sequencer like the built-in sequencer in the Rebirth's emulation of TB-303?
Have you tried the matrix sequencer in reason? It's pretty similar.
And in a big sequencer prog you can step record (record one note at a time in a fixed length). In Cubase you can do this by pressing the foot sign while in a midi part.

Well yes but all i need is a little proggie that will trigger a soft synth, i don't wanna get dirty with Cubase. Can Reason's Matrix trigger external softsynths besides its inner synth? I doubt it though never tried. Rebirth doesn't transmit Midi that one i know for sure. There is a proggie called Seq303 but it doesn't work on Win2000           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

After you create a pattern in the matrix, copy it to a sequencer track in reason (there's an option in the edit menu or something). Then export in to midi. Oh, if you program slides, well, I don't really know how will they be translated to midi. I guess you'll just have to find out and tell us all.

imho: if u think working with Cubase is "getting dirty" (or complicated) without any technical reason, and that Reason cannot create MIDI track... maybe you should find you other things to show your creativity:
like working in construction or in agriculture field,
it's far more easy.

P.S. Read Forum rules & regulations again thoroughly.

O man, some sense of humor
What i meant that i want to trigger some softsynth with another little softsequencer. I use Cubase for some more complex tasks in the meantime.
I'm afraid agriculture is not my field, but thanx anyways.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
