How is the MIDI preference set, not to playback beyond the event border, eventhough you have longer or more notes beyong the event?

glue the midi parts so the last note sustain to her length.
And in the end... just 'streech' (not really streetch function... but to open the last part by one beat or two...depending on the length of the note) it to fit your needs..
