MIDI learn in FL studio

Hey mates...got this problem on fruity..when i try to use midi learn on a vst ..it simply doesn't work with any of the knobs / faders /buttons on my controller...so everytime i do it manually (assign to controller)....and what a pain in the ass it is :/ .Works fine though if i use my synth as a controller and also i have no problem if i do it in cubase.
Any ideas how to solve this (midi options in fruity)..(my controller is the edirol PCR-30).

First way:
1. move the button u want to assign
2. click on the the menu on the left edge on the synth window
3. click 'Last tweaked parameter'
4. click 'link to controller'
5. move ur controller button
6. it should be connected now
Second way:
1. Click on browser windows 'Current Project'
2. Select 'Generators'
3. Select the fruity wrapper with the plugin u want to use
4. Then select the button/slider u want to assign with a right click
5. follow steps 4-6 from the first method

Thnx for the answer EYB but that's not the problem.I know how to do it that way.My problem is that the -MIDI learn function- doesn't work.
For instance,i load pro53 and enable midi learn on it.
That way i should be able to just click on the knob i want to assign on the pro53 gui,then tweak a knob on my controller and that should do it!
Doesn't work though ...

oki oki know what goes there....
what u want is "link to controller option...
but it wont work with pro 53 for that u have to open midi chanel assign the same port and choose in midi setting pro 52 (it works 100%) or try other synth tp learn how to link controller... try with ts first.... ohh.. it wouldnt work on DX just VST! and discovery 1 also like pro u need midi channel but anywayz other synths its just normal..

tsabeat i'm not sure if i got you right...The "link to controller" option is exactly the same to what EYB said previously...works exactly in the same way ...and there's no prob with it on pro53 or any other synth.
What i want is the MIDI LEARN.Almost every VST or DX has this button or option or whatever.When you turn it on ,then you just click on the knob/slider/button of that synth ,then you tweak the knob you want on your controller and you got it assigned....takes about 3 secs to do that.
I could do that on previous versions of FL but using my synth as a controller.Now that i have a controller it doesn't seem work...propably cause i'm not setting
the midi options right or smthng...that's what i need help with.
Hope i made myself clear this time

Dude, i dont need it no more. I hired someone to do all that for me, so i mostly work on voice commands now - i never need to touch the keyboard or the controller! I'm like - Make a bassline that goes like this , then automate the filter cutoff of this synth going like that, then go to break.
I tell you, working with FL is a breeze now and the best thing is that this guy, he doesnt even need money or anything - he'll just work for beer !!!
