is there anyway to reduce latency?
i got Steinberg USB-2-MIDI 2x2 Midi Interface
and controlling vst with nord,...
Delta 66 soundcard
it plays the vst synth note a bit late... any comments/suggestions how to fix this .. thanks |

u will need to play around with audio buffers, and ASIO control panel.
suggestion:
maybe while MIDI recording - reduce audio sample/bit rate, and after u record the part, reset the audio to work at 96/24.
of course close all the programs u don't need.

it seems like all "usb" midi interfaces i worked with
have lot more latency than "serial" ones, i think it's
because of the way usb works, but i'm not shure about .
Do someone else have similar problem with usb interfaces? |

u should find out wether the computer recieves the MIDI send with a lag or the VSti plays the audio with a lag.
if it's the Midi - then it's a midi prob...
though if it's the VSTi which lagging, it is prolly ASIO buffer size which raises the latency.

when u play note and takes a while until u see
it in cubase mixer ??
whats your sound card ?
