i dont get it solved.

using a midi keyboard, the midi goes into c5, i see c5 responding when i press a key, but c5 is not passing it through to a synth or vst.

when i draw notes no problem

what setting am i missing?

have no clue why this happens, before i had no problems with it. changes i did: installed soundtower editor for evolver, and had to set some things different in the project synchr. settings to slave an external sequencer (which i manage to sync but again offcourse no feeding back of midi into c5).

help very much appreciated, driving me crazy this. thx in advance.

by the way: in pref. midi midi filter midi through is activated.

i had two real bad midiloop crashes some time ago, freezing my pc.

Under Preferences --> MIDI, is 'MIDI THRU' activated?

Do you have an Input Transformer activated in the MIDI track's Inspector? You might be filtering out all notes there, or transforming them into pitch-bend, or something like that.

yes midi thru active, no transformer used,

i am afraid i need a fresh install of c5 after severe crashes, already had to reinstall my soundcard drivers because of midi overload, no problems in ableton so at least it seems i dont have to do complete reinstall of windows for now.

anyhow, thanks for the hints.

Do you have an inactive MIDI input selected in the track's Inspector? Try setting it to 'All Inputs', if it's not already selected.
