i was told that I can simply take a .mid file and add it to a midi track, without a keyboard...this is bull(u know what), right???

yes i did this, and when i made a short sequence with this "piano roll" thingy it didnt sound.....so i thaught its only possible with a keyboard connected through midi, to trigger the files.
would be glad for some informations.

the midi track has to go out to somewhere like a vsti, sampler or hardwere synth..
